In this residential kitchen project, a Brooklyn townhouse was converted into a multi-family complex. We provided the kitchen design, project management, supplied hi-end custom cabinetry loaded with features and functionalities tailored to our client. Our objective was to create a continuous space between the living room, kitchen, and hallway leading to a back garden. We were inspired by the client's love for cooking and entertaining, as well as need for ample seating area for a large family. As such, we created a design which transformed the traditional character of a narrow Brooklyn townhouse, into a spacious; ultra-modern kitchen with all its unique features and hi-tech appliances hidden in contrasting single-color units. Drawing from architectural minimalism, the units were presented as three separate linear entities. To add a flare of charm and warmth, we designed two rustic brick walls, which were then constructed and distressed on site.
